A wood fence made from cedar, treated pine or cypress will add a touch of class to your property. The types of wood fencing we install include:

  • Picket-best for front yards, gardens and pool enclosures
  • Post and rail-best for boundaries and farmland
  • Privacy-ideal for keeping neighbors and passersby from seeing into your yard
  • Vertical and horizontal-best for reducing noise and wind
  • Wood and wire-the clear choice for animal pens, gardens and backyards

The Posts

Our customers can choose between a classic wooden post or a metal pole. Their are advantages and disadvantages to each:

Metal Poles

All come galvanized, can last up to 30 years, can generally withstand higher amounts if wind. Are much more expensive and take longer to install because of the wood to metal brackets needed to install the runners on.

Wooden Posts

All come treated, generally last up to 20 years if properly set, easily replaceable, considerably cheaper than metal poles.

The Rails

All of our wooden privacy fences come with three rails made of treated 2X4. Many builders and fence companies only use two which does not provide enough support for the fence, especially for treated pine fences which have a tendency to warp if not properly installed. This three rail system allows each picket to be nailed with 6 individual nails provided more stability and support.

The Pickets

Customer can choose between either a treated pine picket or a cedar, their are advantages to each.

Has a natural bug deterrent, smells good, doesn’t warp, but cost more.

Treated so has a bug repellent but wears off, have a tendency to warp at times, considerably cheaper.

* Remember: All pickets whether cedar or treated pine will eventually gray out and look the same if measures are not taken to preserve the wood and shield it from the suns UV rays.

The Hardware

All of our railing (2×4’s) are fastened with 3 1/2 inch hot dipped galvanized collated ring shanked nails, and our pickets with 1 7/8 inch hot dipped galvanized ring shank nails. This means they have small rings around the entire nail which prevents it from working its way out over time. Our nails are hot dipped galvanized which means they are made especially for exterior use.

Screws are also available upon request.
